    Description

    This is a model of the car as used in the TV Show The Beverly Hillbillies. The kit is as new unstarted. All the parts are in unopened plastic bags. There are no decals furnished with kit. The box is slightly shopworn.
    There are no figures furnished with these kits.
    As I understand it many fire trucks and fire engines during the 1910's through the late 1930's were home built in many United States small towns and villages. The populations of these small communities could not afford to buy new standard fire apparati. So they would order a heavy car or light truck from the local car dealer and hire the main car repair shop in town to convert it into a fire apparatus; thus saving lots of money. I believe this model is of a 1922 Oldsmobile.
    So those of you who are model fire buffs can design and build your own fire engines taking parts from the various Hot Rod and Show Cars on the market.
